Meghan McCain Called Out For Calling NYC Neighborhood “Warzone”

Note to self – don’t lie about something people can verify. Case in point – Meghan McCain recently commented on the state of her New York City neighborhood in the wake of the George Floyd protests.

“My neighborhood in Manhattan is eviscerated and looks like a war zone,” McCain said. “[Mayor Bill] DeBlasio and [Governor Andrew] Cuomo are an utter disgrace. This is not America. Our leaders have abandoned us and continue to let great American cities burn to the ground and be destroyed. I never could have fathomed this.”

However, one of Meghan’s neighbors – “Saturday Night Live” writer Kristen Bartlett – shut her down with, “Meghan, we live in the same building, and I just walked outside. It’s fine.” Afterwards, “The View” co-host admitted that she wasn’t even in New York and was just responding to what she’d seen on the news.
