Hoboken is telling people to stay at home and self-isolate, as the coronavirus outbreak continues to worsen.
Whether you feel sick or not, all residents should immediately begin self-isolating at home,” Mayor Ravinder Bhalla said.
53,000 people live in Hoboken and Bhalla said the outbreak will get worse before it gets better.
Statewide, Governor Phil Murphy has closed malls, amusement parks and other entertainment areas. He’s encouraging people to stay home and said travel between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. is strongly discouraged.
Across the tri-state area, bars, gyms and movie theaters are closed indefinitely.Restaurants are only allowed to offer take-out and delivery service.
