A New Jersey man stepped up to help when his neighbor’s home was engulfed in flames. Mario Reyes rushed to rescue the family of seven from their burning house in Piscataway Township. The father of four helped catch babies that were tossed down from a second floor window and even ran into the house to bring an adult out.
Reyes also used a sledgehammer to knock down bars on a basement window so a man trapped inside could get out. Angel Gomez, who lived in the home, says she threw all her kids down and he caught them all. “Thank God for him,” she says. “He really saved us.”
Neighbor Bianca Clark Muhammad witnessed the blaze says, “This man is an absolute hero.”
