Bernie Sanders Wins New Hampshire Primary As Two Candidates Drop Out

Bernie Sanders Holds New Hampshire Campaign Events

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders won the New Hampshire primary, edging Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar had a strong showing, finishing in third place.

Klobuchar earned enough votes to pick up some of the delegates at the Democratic Convention in July. She was buoyed by the results and, according to CNN, will increase her staff in key Super Tuesday states.

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and former Vice President Joe Biden finished in fourth and fifth place respectively, and neither candidate reached the 15% threshold to earn delegates.

Andrew Yang and Michael Bennet, who finished in last place despite committing almost all of his resources in New Hampshire, both dropped out of the race.
