A 2-year-old boy has been killed after he was struck by a subway train in Lower Manhattan.
The boy was at the Fulton Street station with his mother on Wednesday night when the two became separated and he was struck by a northbound number “2” train.
“Our hearts go out to the mom of the little boy involved,” NYC Transit President Andy Byford said.
Byford said MTA workers pushed the train off the boy. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
