Protesters Swarm Subway In Anti-Police Demonstration

An anti-police group is taking credit for this weekend's subway protest in a video posted to Twitter.

The video shows dozens of activists marching into the subway station at 3rd Avenue and 149th Street, where a turnstile was damaged.

According to an article published in the New York Post, law enforcement authorities have blamed the increase in anti-police sentiment on politicians.

"It's absolutely disgusting," one police source said. "Our politicians should be ashamed of themselves. We need to get these clowns out of office and get someone with balls to take this city back. There is going to be a day when the city has a savior and the cops are going to be unleashed and these advocates and protesters are going to have another thing coming."

An MTA spokesperson noted fare evasion costs the MTA an estimated $300 million a year.
