State Police, Drug Sniffing Dogs Make Huge Pot Bust In Connecticut

Four drug-sniffing police dogs helped the Connecticut State Police make a large marijuana bust.

Two men driving a U-Haul truck on I-95 near Darien, Connecticut, were pulled over by state police for a traffic violation.

While writing out the violation one of the troopers noticed something didn't smell right so he decided to call in the Narcotic Detection K-9 Division to search the vehicle.

As soon as the dogs were on the scene they alerted to the rear compartment of rented vehicle and police began their search. Inside the truck police found over 420 pounds of marijuana.

The two men in the truck, Kevin Conrado and Vahe Manjikian were both arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

According to cbs.com, both men are being held in lieu of $100,000 bonds.
