Drug Raid In Bronx, Westchester Leads To 9 Arrests

Nine men in the Bronx and Westchester were arrested after agents seized 30 pounds of heroin and fentanyl along with $170,000 in cash and multiple firearms.

The two-year investigation conducted by the police and federal agents began in 2017 after two fatal overdoses were traced back to dealers who sold drugs to undercover agents working in Westchester and the Bronx.

NYC Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan told the New York Post, "The arrests announced today took merchants of death and their deadly products off the streets of the Bronx and Westchester."

Authorities found most of the illegal contraband stashed in the homes and cars of the nine suspects that were arrested. The largest score was found in a Bronx stash house where officers discovered 17,000 glassine envelops of heroin hidden in a secret compartment of a dresser along with $45,000 in cash and 3 automatic handguns.

The nine men busted in the operation all face multiple drug charges.
