Cops Hunt For Suspect Who Shot Up Park-And-Ride In New Jersey

Police in Old Bridge, New Jersey, are looking for the suspect who fired several rounds into the bus stop at the NJ Transit Park-and-Ride.

Witness Kionna Weathers told cbslocal.com that she and four other commuters were sitting in the bus shelter when a bullet punched through the plexiglass window sending everyone scrambling for cover.

"It's crazy, but that's where we are at today," said Park-and-Ride employee Jimmy Mahan." It's not safe anywhere anymore. I hope they catch the person. That's the unsettling part; you don't know where the person is and what motivated the shooting."

Old Bridge police say they received several different accounts on the incident. One witness told them the shooter was carrying a rifle, another said they saw a handgun.

The suspect was last spotted running through the parking lot of the New Amsterdam apartment complex. He was wearing a gray hoody and a mask during the shooting.
