Car thieves are behind bars after taking a dangerous joyride in New Jersey Monday.
Charges are pending against a pair of men who are accused of stealing a car in Jersey City then injuring nearly a dozen people during a joy ride. A pedestrian was reportedly struck and hurt badly enough to be hospitalized, and in total 11, who were in vehicles hit by the suspects, were also hurt. One of the damaged vehicle had two women and six children inside.
Several blocks were closed for a time, as cops had to collect evidence from a wide-ranging crime scene. Video caught the suspects abandoning the car before leading police on a foot chase that led to their being cuffed.
