CBD Ban Begins In New York City

Beginning on Monday, retailers are no longer allowed to sell food and drinks that contain CBD in New York City.

While the ban is taking effect, the city won’t start fining businesses until October. Once they do, it could also impact the grades that restaurants receive.

CBD is an ingredient in marijuana that derived from the hemp plant. It’s been known to treat a number of conditions, such as pain and anxiety.

New York state lawmakers have also been moving forward with their own regulations of CBD products.
