New Traffic Pattern Near Lincoln Tunnel Causes Confusion

A big change on 11th Avenue near the Lincoln Tunnel in Manhattan caused problems for drivers, but now the city is apparently making another change.

It was turned into a one-way street, with only southbound traffic allowed between West 57th Street and West 42nd Street. That caused confusion for drivers, so now the city is apparently changing it back to the way it was.

WOR's Alice Stockton-Rossini reports that one-way signs were taken down on Wednesday morning. Traffic will be allowed to flow in both directions again for at least two weeks. During that time there will apparently be a better effort to alert the public that 11th Avenue is being turned into a one-way street to allow better access to the Lincoln Tunnel.
