Snowfall Wednesday looks like it'll be more than just a dusting in our area.
Snow will begin to fall this afternoon and leave New York City and Long Island with 1 - 3 inches of accumulation.
Northern New Jersey should get between 2 and 4 inches.
Forecasters say the snow will turn to rain in Thursday's early hours, with less than one inch of additional accumulation.
The wintry conditions won't last long, however. Thursday will be unusually warm with a high of 53.
Friday will be less warm with an afternoon high of 46 and low of 31.
