New York City is in for some modest snowfall Wednesday as a winter storm creeps through the area.
Between 1 - 3 inches of snow could fall in the city as Tuesday evening clouds give way to wintry precipitation by Wednesday afternoon.
Forecasters say the city could get anywhere between a dusting and 2 inches during the daytime hours Wednesday with as much as one more inch and some rain possible after dark.
Wednesday will be cold with daytime highs and evening lows hovering around 32 degrees.
Thursday will be much warmer with a high of 56 and a low of 33.
Friday will be slightly cooler than Thursday with a high of 45. And the area is in for some rain on Saturday.
