Cop Helps Toddler Out of a Tight Spot

Fort Lee New Jersey police nearly had to use the ‘jaws of life' to free a child who had become stuck in his favorite toy.

The 911 call was made by the tot's mother, Soona Choe. Ms. Choe explained to the emergency operator that her 20 month-old son Luca had managed to climb into one of his favorite toys and was now unable to free himself. Ms. Choe told the New York Post , "He got in, got wedged in, and he couldn't get out." Choe added that she tried to pull the boy free but she was unable to so she called the cops.

Sgt. Rick Hernandez responded to the 911 call and found the boy waiting to be saved from a plastic box toy that is made to help children learn about shapes.

Officer Hernandez said the situation was pretty comical and he thought about using a hydraulic tool to pry the toy loose but ended up cracking the toy in two to get it off.
