Warmer Weather, Rain Arriving in Tri-State Area Thursday

After snow and freezing rain blanketed much of the Tri-State area this past weekend, we're in for an eerie spring-like warmth and rain Thursday.

High temperatures in New York City fell short of 20 degrees on Monday and felt subzero. Just three days after that, the high temp is expected to flirt with 60 degrees before giving way to fog and rain.

After a wet, humid afternoon, temperatures will drop down into the 20s Thursday night with 18 mph winds and gusts of near 30 mph.

The rain will make the unusually warm temperatures difficult to enjoy. There is a flash flood watch in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, so commuting during rush hour will be no easy task.

The weekend will bring much more January-like temperatures in the 20s and 30s.
