A Long Island father put a padlock on his daughter’s door for failure to pay rent on the first of the month.
Retired New York City Fire Fighter and father Scott P has a 26-year-old daughter still living at home. He pays her car loan and possibly student loans. He asks his daughter Kim to pay $400 a month rent. The rent goes towards the car payment which exceeds $400 a month.
Kim said she did not have to pay him the rent this month, it was her “birth month.”
Today, Mr. P put a lock on her bedroom door inside his house. He also posted a picture of the locked door in a Facebook community for moms in town.
