Thousands of people are signing a petition that would name a stretch of Fifth Avenue in front of Trump Tower after former President Barack Obama.
More than 20-thousand people have signed the petition which calls on Mayor de Blasio to name the portion of Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th Streets in Obama's honor. The petition is sponsored by MoveOn.org and organizers are hoping to get 30-thousand signatures before presenting it to the mayor and city council.
If the name change is made, that would make Trump Tower's address 725 Barack H. Obama Avenue.
