Beginning on Monday, it could be a bit tougher for commuters using the Long Island Rail Road.
Seven morning rush hour trains are being canceled or diverted, while another six trains are being impacted during the afternoon. This is all because of work being done at Penn Station and on the East Side Access project.
The LIRR said to reduce the impact of the service changes, cars are being added to some trains to increase capacity. The agency said the rush hour seating capacity reduction will be limited to one percent.
The changes will be in effect through March 3rd.
