Baylor Snaps Uconn's 126-Game Regular Season Winning Streak

The University of Connecticut Huskies' 126-game winning streak in the regular season came to an end with a 68-57 loss to Baylor on Thursday (January 3) night. The loss also snapped UConn's NCAA-record 55-game win streak in true road games.

Kalani Brown led the way for the Lady Bears with 22 points and 17 rebounds while NaLyssa Smith added 12 points from the bench.

The Huskies were unable to get much going against Baylor, shooting just 29.4 percent from the field, their lowest shooting percentage in 20 years.

"It felt like our offense was kind of stagnant, and we were all just looking at each other," said Katie Lou Samuelson, who scored 12 points for the Huskies in the loss. "So that led to taking difficult shots, which we weren't hitting. That's on us to figure it out, and we should have figured it out earlier and played with a little more urgency."

The last time the Huskies lost a regular season game was on November 17, 2014, when they lost in overtime to Stanford.
