FBI And NYPD Bust Teacher Involved In Child Porn

The NYPD and the FBI teamed up to catch a Brooklyn teacher involved in the production and distribution of child pornography.

Jonathon Deutsch, a teacher at the Leon M. Goldstein High School for the Sciences was arrested and will face five counts of sexual exploitation of a child related to images and videos of children he met online.

United States Attorney Richard Donoghue told the New York Daily News that Deutsch targeted his young victims on Facebook.  "The protection of innocent children is an utmost priority for this office and our law enforcement partners," said Donoghue. "We will continue to make every effort to ensure that those who contribute to the exploitation and victimization of children will be brought to justice."

Assistant FBI Director in Charge William F. Sweeney Jr. warned parents to remain vigilant against sexual predators, especially since criminals can easily contact children online. Sweeney added, "Our children deserve to grow up in a world where they don't have to face overcoming the horrors and scars of sexual abuse. The fact that this suspect was a teacher makes the crime even more egregious."
