Woman in Stable Condition After Getting Shot in the Face

A 26-year-old woman is lucky to be alive after getting shot in the face as she left a Brooklyn nightclub with a small group of friends.

The victim, who wished to remain anonymous, and two friends were walking out the front door of the unlicensed club with a group of three men at approximately 4:00 a.m. when three shots rang out; one of the shots hit the woman in the face just below her left eye.

After the shots were fired the victim's two friends rushed to the aide of their injured friend. The three men that were with the women fled the scene in a black Jeep SUV and are considered suspects in the crime.

Witnesses at the scene told police that the men and women were engaged in friendly small talk before the shooting started, but after the victim went down the men seemed to panic and ran to their vehicle.

An article in the New York Post states the NYPD is investigating the relationship between the club-goers to determine if they knew each other before the crime was committed.

FDNY and EMT's responded to the shooting and rushed the woman to Kings County Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
