Man and Woman Sought in High Rise Shooting

New York City police are looking for a man and woman in connection with that shooting at a building on the Upper East Side.

The two are seen in pictures together and are considered persons of interest.  Police want to question them.

"I don't like that no one's been caught," one woman told WOR's Alice Stockton-Rossini.

Authorities believe a gunman has fired from Roosevelt Island across the water at the luxury apartment building at One East River Place.  Apartments on the 14th floor and 32nd floor have been struck, but no one was injured.

"I think somebody who's shooting would have to have some sort of training because of the distance, the elevation, the accuracy of hitting the building repeatedly and the wind.  It's not something that the average person could do," one man said.  "I would think that there would be a tripod involved of some kind or some long range kind of weapon or something like that because that distance across the river is longer than you think."

Police said the man and woman seen in the pictures were near the scene where they believe the shots were fired.  They’re asking the public to report any information they may have about the case.

"It could be an element of a crime.  It could be somebody who's just crazy.  It's hard to say," one person said.
