Governor Cuomo Sues Over Federal Tax Law

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has filed a lawsuit against the federal government over the new tax law.

The law caps property tax deductions at $10,000.  Cuomo called it “unconstitutional” and claims it will cost New Yorkers $14.3 billion in 2018 alone.

“This is their political attempt to hurt Democratic states. It is totally repugnant and hypocritical of the fundamental conservative ideology which they preach—the limited federal government, respect state rights. This tramples on their own theory,” Cuomo said.

Cuomo said he’s filing suit on behalf of New York, Connecticut, Maryland and New Jersey.
