8 Cases of Legionnaires’ Disease in NYC

New York City’s Health Department is investigating a cluster of eight cases of Legionnaires’ disease in Washington Heights.

It’s believed that the source may be a cooling tower in the area.  The health department is now testing systems throughout Lower Washington Heights.

Legionnaires’ disease is not contagious.

A town hall hearing is being held Thursday night at St. Luke’s AME Church.
