Subway Rider Left With Fractured Skull After Metal Pipe Attack

A subway rider was sent to the hospital with a fractured skull after being attacked with a metal pipe during an argument late Saturday.

The two men were riding a southbound 2 train when they got into an argument. Bystanders gave police video of the incident, which occurred between West Broadway and Chambers Street stations in TriBeCa.

Pix11 reports the suspect was panhandling on the train when the attack occurred.

The victim was in critical condition after the incident.

The suspect reportedly got off the train at the Chambers Street station and fled on foot.
