Mets Loss To Reds Is "Out of Order" - 2-1 In 10 innings

  • The Mets first inning was one of the strangest of this young season. • Mets manufactured a run in the third when Asdrubal Cabrera hit an RBI Ground out and it was 1-0 Mets
  • Zack Wheeler pitched his best start of the season, blanking the Reds through the first five innings.
  • Wheeler gave up his only run of the game in the 6th, but battled back to strike out Cruz to leave the bases loaded.
  • 6 innings, one run and seven strikeouts for Zack Wheeler, but he wouldn’t be involved with the final outcome.
  • Mets and Cincy couldn’t muster a run through 9 full and we were off to extras as some rain fell and gave the game an ominous feeling.
  • Bottom 10, Reds Adam Duvall hit a no out solo home run of off AJ Ramos and the Mets lost the game and the series as well 2-1.
  • The talk after the game was all about how the first inning blunder may well have cost the Mets the game in the long run.
  • Mets are off on Thursday as they fly off to Philadelphia to start a three game series on Friday Night against the Phillies, First pitch 7:05, Mets on Deck 6:05
