Little Caesars Location Closed After Mouse Droppings Found in Pizza Crust

A Little Caesars in Indianapolis, IN has been shut down by health inspectors after a couple found mice or rat feces baked into the crust of their pizza.

Johnathan McNeil said that after they purchased the pizza from the chain, his girlfriend noticed little black flecks on the crust that didn't look normal.

“She looked at the pizza and realized there was like doo-doo looking stuff on the pizza,” McNeil told FOX 59.

McNeil says he immediately turned around and headed back to the chain for a refund and an explanation, but employees said they didn't know what it was.

“All of them were looking at my pizza dumbfounded as if they didn’t know what’s going on,” said McNeil, “I said ‘That’s mouse doo-doo on the bottom of my pizza.’”

McNeil said he called police, who, when they arrived at the restaurant, recommended he call the health department and report the violations. After an emergency inspection was conducted of the restaurant, the business's license was suspended, and the location closed. According to the inspector's report, multiple violations were found, including the presence of pests and/or rodents in the facility, faulty equipment, and dirty food racks.

A follow-up inspection the next morning found the location had corrected the problems.
