St. John's Stuns Number One Villanova In Philadelphia


St. John's pulled off its second major upset in five days, this time at top-ranked Villanova.  After knocking off previous number-five Duke on Saturday, Shamorie Ponds poured in 26 points to lead the Red Storm to a 79-75 win over 'Nova in Philadelphia.  Justin Simon added 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists as St. John's improved to 12-and-13 on the season and 1-and-11 in the Big East.  

Jalen Brunson netted a game-high 28 points for the Wildcats, who dropped to 22-and-2 and 9-and-2.
