Add black sludge to the long list of disgusting complaints filed against the MTA.
LIRR passenger Paola Pachon decided to wash her hands after she caught her train for the commute home.
When she turned on the faucet in the train's restroom instead of being greeted with crystal clean H2O, Ms. Pachon witnessed black, oozing, sludge dripping from the tap.
Pachon reported the brackish water to the conductor and the restroom was marked ‘out of service.'
MTA officials said the water was contaminated by rust from one of the supply stations where the railroad fills its taps.
The train car was taken out of service for inspection and a line flushing.
