A 16-year-old girl is dead after she was stabbed in New Rochelle on Wednesday.
Valaree Megan Schwach was at a Dunkin’ Donuts when she got into an altercation with another girl. There was an argument and then the other girl allegedly stabbed Schwach.
Schwach was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where she later died.
The suspect fled the scene. Police are encouraging the girl to turn herself in.
It’s believed that both girls went to New Rochelle High School. Grief counselors and extra security will be at the school today.
