A school in Queens will be fumigated during the winter break after bed bugs were discovered.
NBC 4 New York reports that parents found out about the infestation at John Adams High School in Ozone Park on Tuesday. They’re now worried that students may have brought the bed bugs home with them.
A statement issued by the city’s Department of Education on Thursday said, “We’re committed to providing all students with a safe and clean learning environment.”
School is open on Friday.
