Typo Cost City 26 Million Bucks

A misplaced "O" on over 500,000 parking tickets cost NYC nearly $26 million dollars in parking ticket fines.

A code for not displaying your muni-meter receipt properly was changed from 4-08h10 to 4-08h1. 

Unfortunately, the change wasn't made to half a million tickets, so all the fines have been rendered invalid.

In NYC any wrong code recorded on a ticket technically dismisses any and all fines.

Sonia Alleyne from the NYC Department of Finance refunded fines to over 400,000 drivers who had already paid their fines.
