Police Officer Faces 10 Years In Prison

A North Plainfield, New Jersey police officer has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman he met while on duty.

The alleged assault took place when Officer Mike Jean-Baptiste took the victim to a hotel in Kenilworth, New Jersey later that evening.

Officer Jean Baptiste was taken into custody Monday and is expected to be in front of a judge within the next few days.

If he's found guilty, Officer Jean-Baptiste could serve up to ten years in prison.
