NJ Transit Cancels Trains Because of Crew Shortage

NJ Transit canceled a series of trains on Monday afternoon because of a crew shortage.

Four rush-hour trains were canceled on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast lines.  Princeton Shuttle service was also suspended.

NJ Transit blamed a crew shortage, but didn’t offer specifics.

This comes amid the so-called “Summer of Hell.”  NJ Transit and Amtrak have altered service because of emergency repairs at Penn Station.

Repairs are expected to continue until September.
