Mets Outlast Cardinals for 6-5 Win in St. Louis

The Mets bounced back after losing three-straight with a 6-5 win over the Cardinals in the opener of their final series before the All-star break.

Jacob deGrom got the win despite allowing four solo home runs. He went seven innings allowing just the four earned runs on eight hits while striking out five. He was picked up by a few big home runs from his teammates as Jose Reyes and Jay Bruce both hit solo shots. Travis d'Arnaud drove in a run with an RBI single and Curtis Granderson and TJ Rivera both had RBI doubles in the win.
