An unidentified man is in serious condition after slamming his jet ski into a boat Sunday afternoon just off the shore of Liberty Island.
The Harbor Patrol rescued the unconscious man from the water and immediately transferred him to awaiting EMS personnel.
Lutheran Hospital reports that the man suffered serious head trauma and is in serious condition.
The Harbor Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
