LISTEN: deGrom Tosses Complete Game in Mets 6-1 Win Over the Cubs

Jacob deGrom was outstanding and the Mets defeated the defending World Champion Cubs 6-1 tonight at Citi Field.

deGrom allowed just one run on five hits while tossing the Mets first complete game of the 2017 season. He walked four and struck out six. His lone mistake was a seventh inning solo home run to Addison Russell.

As for the Mets offense, it was led by the long-ball. Asdrubal Cabrera popped two solo home runs and Jay Bruce belted a two-run blast in the Mets 6 run outburst. Travis d'Arnuad added and RBI double and Jose Reyes drove in the last of the Mets runs with and RBI single.

Zack Wheeler will get the ball tomorrow night as the Mets look to make it 5 in a row. 'Mets on Deck' kicks off coverage on WOR at 6:05 PM.
