$164K in Cocaine Found 'Busting Out' of Man's Pants at JFK Airport

About $164,000 worth of cocaine was found taped around a man's legs at JFK Airport, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Juan Carlos Galan Luperon, a U.S. citizen, arrived in New York from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on Saturday, according to a Pix11 report.

Officials say Luperon exhibited a nervous demeanor and was wearing suspiciously tight clothing when he willingly presented himself for inspection.

After being taken to a private search room, officers discovered packages taped around both of Luperon's legs. The white powder within the packages later tested positive as cocaine.

Customs officers say they have seen this concealment method before and knew to inspect Luperon's pants, officials say.

Luperon was arrested and now faces federal narcotics smuggling charges. In all, he was carrying 10 pounds of cocaine.
