A woman was found dead in her Brooklyn home Monday night.
78-year-old Edna Pierre-Jacques was found by her daughter and granddaughter in her East Flatbush home laying in a pool of blood next to a broken hammer.
NYPD investigators believe whoever attacked the elderly woman used immense force in the attack which caused the hammer to break.
Police are questioning family members including Ms. Pierre-Jacques husband who was in the home when the body was discovered.
The Medical Examiner's office has yet disclosed the cause of death.
