Apple’s 2025 Worldwide Developers Conference began a few days ago at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California. We haven’t seen any massive or shocking news yet but have seen the newest software features the tech giant will roll out that offer both cosmetic and functional changes. Rich DeMuro, host of ‘Rich on Tech’ on WOR Sundays 8-11pm, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the look our iPhones will have with the newest iOS update.

“Liquid glass is the new look and feel for the iPhone software,” DeMuro told host Larry Mendte. “Think smooth, clear, rounded, transparent… now when you lift up the lock screen on your phone it almost looks like you’re lifting up a piece of glass.”

DeMuro also talked about a new feature being implemented to aid with call screening: “AI can answer unknown phone numbers, ask the person why they’re calling, and once they do that then and only then will it ring your phone with the information on your lock screen about why this person is calling.”
