Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with Dr. Gregory Poland, the head of the vaccine research group at the Mayo Clinic, about the just-approved COVID booster XBB. Dr. Poland told Len and Michael the new XBB vaccine was approved by the FDA Monday and is ready to go in your arms today. When asked why the XBB booster was given the okay so quickly, Poland said, "The new booster was studied and produced months in advance, waiting for FDA approval." Poland said the vaccination is ready for all Americans 6 months and older. Poland emphasized to Len and Michael that people get the new XBB booster to protect themselves from the current strain.
