Will Congestion Pricing Stop Suburbanites from Coming to NYC?

Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with Vincent Cannato, author of Ungovernable City, about NYC and the MTA going to congestion pricing.

Cannato told the show that London added congestion pricing a few years back, but it has never been tried on this massive of a scale. Cannato believes the new driver's tax will have suburbanites staying away from the Big Apple.

His fear is that it will turn New York City even more so into a luxury product. People who want to come to the city are willing to pay premium prices for Broadway tickets, sporting events, and restaurants, but this will make the premium even higher, and many will decide to just stay home.
