About 100 New Jersey Homes Damaged After Tornado Hits Alongside Ida

At least two people were hospitalized with injuries from a tornado that tore through Mullica Hill in Gloucester County, NJ on Wednesday night and damaged about 100 houses as the remnants of Hurricane Ida were hitting the Garden State.

The two people injured in the storm were in stable condition at Inspira Mullica Hill medical center as of late Wednesday night, the county said. Their condition as of this morning was not immediately available.

Multiple tornadoes were reported in NJ, but the National Weather Service, which is currently surveying damage, can only confirm one tornado touching down.

New Jersey, where at least one person is known to have died, remains in a state of emergency as of Thursday.
