NY Woman Mails Book Checked Out In 1957 Back To Library

Better late than never. A New York library has received a long-overdue book...checked out in 1957. A 74-year-old Professor Betty Diamond says she realized a while ago the book had ended up in her own collection but didn't know what to do. She finally decided to make amends and mail it back with a 500-dollar check to cover late fees. The librarian said they stop charging fees after seven years, but appreciated the donation.
