Workers To Remove Turkeys Terrorizing NJ Town

State wildlife workers say they will soon begin rounding up all the wild turkeys that have been terrorizing a New Jersey community.

Neighbors in the Toms River senior living community say the gaggle of about 60 turkeys has been attacking them as they try to get into their homes and cars. State Division of Fish and Game officials visited the adult community this week. They say the birds will soon be taken away and released “deep in the woods.” Meanwhile, officials are encouraging citizens to reinforce the animals’ natural fear of people by using a broom, garden hose or air horn to scare aggressive birds.

They’re also asking the public not to feed the turkeys, or any other wild animal.
