Eric Trump, Mayor de Blasio Spar Over Green New Deal

President Trump's son Eric has gone to war with NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio over his proposed New Green Deal.

Eric Trump tore into the Mayor via Twitter Monday, writing, "The fact that the Mayor of a major city would attack an iconic organization (which employs thousands of hardworking New York taxpayers) for his own political gain is an abuse of power, unethical, and simply counter-intuitive."

The social media blast came after Mayor de Blasio held a press conference inside Trump Tower touting his plan to cut emissions from skyscrapers by 30 percent by 2030. Mayor de Blasio said of the Trump Empire, "We won't let you mortgage our future for your real estate."

President Trump re-Tweeted Eric's next salvo which read, "First you have never created a job in your life. Second, our great city has gone to s#@t under your leadership. Crime is up, the men and women of the NYPD detest you, homelessness is rampant, our streets are dirty and people are leaving our city in record numbers."

According to an article in the New York Post, Mayor de Blasio tweeted back "I guess lying on Twitter runs in the family! Facts are facts: NYC jobs are at record highs, crime is at record lows and our#GreenNewDeal is coming whether the ‘iconic' Trump Org likes it or not."
