Anthony Weiner Released From Federal Custody

Anthony Weiner is set to be a free man on Tuesday.

He’s being released from a halfway house in New York City after serving a 21-month prison sentence for sending illicit messages to an underage girl. Weiner will register as a Level 1 sex offender and will be under supervised release for three years.

Weiner is a former Congressman who was forced to resign from office after provocative pictures surfaced online that Weiner had sent to women. He attempted a political comeback in 2013 with a run for mayor, but his campaign was derailed by new pictures and allegations.

Weiner had been living in a halfway house in the Bronx after being released from federal prison earlier this year.
