An extended heat wave arrives in New York City and the entire tri-state area on Friday.
A heat advisory goes into effect at noon with a high of 91 expected. Saturday’s high temperature will be a degree or two hotter, with Sunday expected to reach the upper 90’s.
Monday continues the streak of 90 degree weather.
It’s not until Tuesday that we escape the 90’s, with a high in the upper 80’s expected.
