"On The Clock" Officer Caught Working Another Job

Officer Edward Rosovich was arrested by The New York City Internal Affairs Bureau Wednesday evening and charged with official misconduct and grand larceny.

Court records show that officer Rosovich was caught working other jobs while being punched in as a police officer.

Rosovich, a 13-year veteran of the force appeared in Queens criminal court last night and was released without bail.

In 2016 officer Rosovich was involved in a deadly car crash on the Long Island Expressway that left two people dead. Rosovich was off-duty and behind the wheel of his GMC Yukon when he failed to see a broken down BMW stalled on the road. The two passengers of the BMW had gotten out of the vehicle and were waiting for a tow truck when Rosovich slammed into the car and knocked both people over the highway divider.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the woman died en route to the hospital.

An article published in the New York Daily News says, police investigated the deadly accident and determined it was caused by poor visibility and rain swept roads. Officer Rosovich was given a sobriety test at the scene and cleared of any wrongdoing.
